Bibliophile – Reviewing Books all My life

As a lifelong bibliophile, I’ve essentially been reviewing books all my life. As a writer, I’ve reviewed books for Pop Matters, Altar Magazine, the Mother Talk network of bloggers and book reviewers, Feminist Review and more. I’ve gotten to review everything from an encyclopedic volume on African-American musical recordings to a cookbook inspired by Dr. Seuss. I also recently began reviewing books of poetry, which is an exciting new opportunity for me. Finally, I write reviews of websites for Instructify. If you’d like to see more, check the “book review” categories of posts for reviews I’ve written solely for this site.

Selected reviews:

Smilebox (website)

Paternity: by Scott Owens (book)

My Life as a Furry Red Monster (book)

Lost Sounds: Blacks and the Birth of the Recording Industry (book)

Monopoly: The World’s Most Famous Game– And How It Got That Way (book)

Straightforward: How to Mobilize Heterosexual Support for Gay Rights (book) (it’s in the left-hand column, and you’ll have to scroll waaaaay down!)
